Detailed 4-Day Uganda Gorillas & Leisure Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Journey to Bwindi from Kigali
On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will meet your driver-guide for a short briefing. Afterward, you will cross into Uganda through the Katuna border and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will reach your lodge by evening in time for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
After breakfast, you will go to the park offices for a briefing about gorilla trekking rules and guidelines. Visitors are divided into groups of eight, and each group is assigned a gorilla family. With the help of rangers, you will trek through the forest until you find the gorillas. The trek may be challenging, but once you reach them, you will spend one full hour watching and taking photos as they feed, rest, and play.
After the trek, you will return to your lodge for lunch. You could carry out a few optional activities or evening in the afternoon.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi & Evening Boat Trip
After breakfast, you will drive for about two hours to Lake Bunyonyi. On arrival, you will check in to your lodge and have lunch. In the evening, will have a boat trip to some of the lake’s 29 islands. Later, return to the lodge to relax, have dinner, and spend the night.
Day 4: Transfer to Kigali & Departure
After breakfast, you will check out, and drive back to Kigali, where the tour will end.
