Unlike other travelers from other continents, guests from Mbarara are easy to handle simply because they are within Africa in the country known as Uganda making their journey cheap though for tourists who may wish to fly can do so to either Bwindi impenetrable or Mgahinga National parks but the most preferred means of transport is always road transport where the tour operator will pick you up from your residence or from the company then head to the most amazing National parks that host gorillas in Uganda.

The right season for any traveller from Mbarara to visit Bwindi or Mgahinga is simply dry season when all trails are passable free from mud and the only challenge you would face is probably the dust and the hot conditions but this can be foregone by packing sunscreen , sunglasses and light earth coloured clothes. Dry months come with high prices due to the many visitors that immerse in gorilla trekking making gorilla permit booking intense because if you did not book months before you are likely to miss out on this activity though on the side of wet season few people visit creating privacy as well as last minute booking that carries low prices but one has to get prepared for muddy trails that hinders trekking activity sometimes especially during the long rainy months. When heading to Bwindi it will take you around 4-5 hours drive using kabale-Mabara road and note that Mbarara is one of the largest towns in Uganda located in the western region and it is the main municipal , administrative and commercial center of Mbarara District .Heading to Bwindi or Mgahinga is a piece of cake for most of the tourists with many preferring Bwindi impenetrable national park due to its vast nature hosting numerous adventures and for the sake of Mgahinga since it is a small national park it can be trekked within a short period of time calling for a shortened adventure.
