Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early morning breakfast at your place or stay or arrival at the airport on this day of your 5 days Bwindi and Bisoke hiking safari, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. You could have a city tour before or perhaps just drive straight to Bwindi with lunch en-route. When you reach Bwindi, you will check in to your lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Community Walk
Wake up early morning and head to the park headquarters for a short briefing meeting on this second day of your 5 days Bwindi and Bisoke hiking safari. After this 20 – 30 minutes meeting, you will head into the forest to search for Uganda gorillas in their natural habitat.
When you locate the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour around them and after return to the starting point, receive your respective gorilla trekking certificates and drive back to your lodge. In the evening, you will go for a community walk around Bwindi.
Day 3: Lake Bunyonyi Boat Ride, Transfer to Volcanoes National Park & Visit Twin Lakes
On day three of your 5 days Bwindi and Bisoke hiking safari, you will have breakfast and drive to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale for a boat trip to some of the lake’s 29 islands and after proceed with your drive to Volcanoes National Park where you will visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo in the evening. After check in to your lodge and relax as you prepare for a hike up Mount Bisoke the following day.
Day 4: Mount Bisoke Hiking
This day of your 5 days Bwindi and Bisoke hiking safari, you hike up one of the Virunga Volcano Mountains. Mount Bisoke is one of the most interesting mountains in hike in Rwanda. The difficulty is moderate and the crater views atop are awesome. The hike up Mount Bisoke takes a day and lasts up to six hours. You will ascend the mountain and descend it on the same day.
Day 5: Golden Monkey Trekking & Departure
After an early morning breakfast meal, you will go golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes National park and after drive back to Kigali to mark the end of your 5 days Bwindi & Bisoke hiking safari.
