This 7-day East African safari is a mix of adventure and relaxation. You will first trek mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, then fly to Zanzibar in Tanzania for a tour of Stone Town and time on the beach.

Detailed 7-Day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking & Zanzibar Holiday Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Hotel Transfer
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, the main entry point to Uganda. Your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, begin the nine-hour drive to Bwindi. Stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for photos and to see the water experiment. Continue to Mbarara for lunch before driving straight to Bwindi, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Community Tour
After an early breakfast, go to the park headquarters for briefing. You will be placed in a group of eight trekkers, each group assigned one gorilla family. Enter the forest with your ranger guide and follow the trails until you find the gorillas.
The trek may be steep and slippery, but once you find them, spend one full hour watching them as they feed, play, and move in their natural home.
Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community. Learn how they lived in the forest as hunters and gatherers, enjoy their cultural performances, and taste local dishes. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Travel Back to Kampala
After breakfast, drive back to Kampala. This is another long drive with views of the Kigezi hills, farmlands, and small towns along the way. Lunch will be en route. Arrive in Kampala in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Fly to Zanzibar
After breakfast, transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Arrive in the afternoon, check into your hotel, have lunch, and relax at the lodge.
Day 6: Stone Town Tour & Beach Relaxation
After breakfast, take a guided tour of Stone Town. Visit the market, narrow streets, historic buildings, mosques, and cathedrals. Have lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the beach.
Spend the afternoon swimming, sunbathing, or enjoying beach activities of your choice. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
