Detailed 3 Day Chimpanzee Trekking Rwanda Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Our representative will pick you on your arrival at the airport or at the hotel after your breakfast on this first day of your 3 Days Nyungwe Chimpanzee Trekking Rwanda holiday.
He will brief you about the safari and straight away transfer you to Nyungwe National Park, via Butare city, in Southern Province.
Have en-route visits to some historical sites on the main road like King Palace Museum, Kamegeri’s rock, National Ethnographic Museum of Rwanda in Nyanza and later proceed with the journey and have your dinner and overnight at any of the accommodation options near the Nyungwe forest.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk
Drive to the chimpanzee trekking point (The Uwinka visitor center) after an early morning breakfast on this second day of your 3 Days Nyungwe Chimpanzee Trekking Rwanda tour.
This will commence with a short briefing where a park ranger reads out the dos and don’ts to follow while trekking chimpanzees.

In the evening, return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Visit Lake Kivu and transfer to Kigali

Later on, you will head to Kibuye for Napoleon Island visit and Kivu canoeing experience as well as environmental museum. At the end of the tour, you will transfer back to Kigali to catch up your next flight and depart back home. This marks the end of the trip.
