Gorillas are unique friendly creatures with 98.3% genetic relation to humans making them the closest relatives with humans.

Gorilla families comprise of 5-40 individuals and females give birth to only a baby and in very rare cases twins after every 4-6 years once they are ready to breed .understand that a mature female gives birth to only 3-4 infants her entire life and practices natural bird control making their birth rates really low.

Due to research and the gorilla census carried out over time, the Eastern lowland gorilla also known as the Grauer’s gorilla is the largest of all the four gorilla subspecies and are very close cousins to the mountain gorillas.

These great apes are very friendly and only show aggression once they sense danger and live in harmony amongst themselves within the group .

The Eastern lowland gorillas usually spend most of their time on the ground and feed on herbs, insects, fruits, bamboo, vines, backs of trees and leaves

Therefore , gorilla population can still increase and chances that the different species might have increase in their population do exist, given that people cooperate with the different government and conservation organizations to ensure that the endangered species are protected .
