The Bwindi Massacre was a bloody terror the broke out after an attack by Rwandan rebels against foreign tourists in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park during their gorilla expedition

According to reports got from the After math as per Anne Peltier , a survivor of the massacre and then France’s deputy ambassador to Uganda , the rebels attacked the Americans and British for not backing the Ethnic Hutu Majority

The rebels also attached notes to the corpses “Americans and British , we don’t want you on our land . You support our enemy” giving it a very clear reason behind their ill actions against humanity .

The rebels , dressed in rugs started the massacre with raids of camping grounds and killing four Ugandan game supporters including a game Warden and three park rangers In an initial camp raid and in a jungle pursuit that commenced on Tuesday that time, soldiers also allegedly killed four rebels .

The rebels used dangerous women’s like knives , machetes and axes to kill some of their victims .

It is important to note that the rebels killed some of their victims because they could not walk fast enough .

They also deployed tricks on their victims by treating them kindly before killing them for example they let one American woman who feigned an asthmatic attack and another who complained she had left her eye glasses free but later showed no mercy and greeted them with death .

Among the victims hacked to death were Rob Hanbner, 48 and his wife Miller 42, The Hillsboro Ore couple that also was made famous in the film “Gorillas in the Mist ”

There were a few survivors of the massacre who were airlifted after finding a two way radio that had not been damaged and contacting the US embassy in Kampala .
