Day 1: Transfer to Goma in Congo
Early morning after pickup on day one of your 3 days Virunga Gorillas & Beach Safari, you will drive to Goma Town in DRC Congo where you will spend your night. You will cross over to DRC Congo through the Gisenyi-Goma border. When you reach Goma Town; about 30 minutes away from the border, you will drive straight to your accommodation place.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Virunga & Transfer to Gisenyi
On day 2 of your 3 days Virunga Gorillas & Beach Safari, you will drive the park headquarters early morning for a briefing session before entering the forest to search for your particular allocated mountain gorilla family. This gorilla trekking exercise may take up to six hours inclusive of a 1 hour experience around gorillas.
After return to your starting point, pick your respective gorilla trekking certificates and cross back to Gisenyi in Rwanda. You will spend your evening relaxing at the beaches in Gisenyi. Later you’ll get transferred to your accommodation facility.
Day 3: Morning Boat Cruise & Departure
Wake up to a morning breakfast meal and take on a boat cruise on Lake Kivu. On this boat cruise, you will visit one or all the three islands depending on how much time you have available. After you will be transferred to Kigali City to mark the end of your 3 days Virunga Gorillas & Beach Safari.
