Day 1: Transfer to Virunga National Park Congo

This day you transfer to Virunga National Park in DRC Congo. You will cross over through the Gisenyi-Goma border post from where you will meet your Congolese guide and proceed to your accommodation place in Goma. You will spend much of your time at your hotel as you get set for Congo gorilla trekking experience the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Virunga

This is the day you get to meet the mountain gorillas in Virunga National Park. Your trek starts with an early morning briefing meeting where you will be told the dos and donts of gorilla trekking in Congo. You will also be given a few tips and allocated to respective gorilla families. From here, you will make your way into the jungle to search for mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

This gorilla trekking exercise takes between 2 hours to 6 hours including a full hours experience around the gorillas. This time varies and highly depends on how long you take to find your allocated gorilla group. After spending your hour around gorillas, you will then return to your starting point, meet your guide and drive back to your accommodation facility.

Day 3: Departure

This day you cross over to Rwanda and proceed with your drive to Kigali from where you will be dropped at your preferred drop off point or rather the airport to catch up with your departure flight. This marks the ends of your 3 days Virunga gorilla safari in DRC Congo.
