Day 1: Pickup & Transfer to Goma
Shortly after your arrival or after an early morning breakfast at your hotel in Kigali on this first day of your 2 days Virunga gorilla trekking safari, you will be met by your driver guide and taken for a city tour around Kigali.
On this city tour, you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Monument, Kimironko Market, Caplaki Crafts Village and a few other places before driving to Gisenyi and crossing over to Goma in DRC Congo. You will spend an overnight at your accommodation place in Goma Town.
Day 2: Congo gorilla trekking & Transfer to Kigali
Early morning after breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing session and after enter the jungle to search for mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Gorilla trekking in Congo may last up to 8 hours depending on how much time you take before locating your allocated mountain gorilla family.
This time includes a magical hour experience around gorillas. After you shall transfer to the starting point, meet your guide and transfer back to Kigali for drop off. This marks the end of your 2 days Virunga gorilla trekking safari.
